Senior yoga teachers Elizabeth Gray and Karen Guzak continue their collaboration to bring the ultimate in yoga teacher training to Snohomish in the future. The 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified program immerses the student in the teachings and practices of Viniyoga, a style of yoga that adapts the various means and methods of practice to the unique condition, needs, and interests of each individual. Elizabeth Gray , the founder of Sarva Yoga Therapy , has completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification with 8 Limbs Yoga Centers and a 500-hour certification with Essential Yoga Therapy in the Viniyoga tradition. She is also an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist . Elizabeth is passionate about helping students positively transform their lives through the practice of Yoga. Karen Guzak, the owner of Yoga Circle Studio , has been practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching for 22. She has earned a reputation for her ability to teach to each student’s individual needs. She continually collaborates and studies with several other master teachers to expand her knowledge of yoga. Grace and Humor guide her. What You Will Learn Anatomy: Based on the Anatomy Trains model, which looks at anatomy in the context of whole-body connections and fascial lines rather than as separately detached components; Philosophy: Including an in-depth study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the 8 limbs of yoga and the Koshas; Techniques: Learn the many tools of yoga including, asana (the postures of yoga), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, chant, mudra and more; Methodology: Learn how to skillfully sequence these tools of yoga together to create a fluid and transformative yoga practice for yourself and your students; Practicum: Observe, assist and practice the art of sequencing and teaching yoga. Schedule 2022 Weekend Intensive Dates: January 6-9 February 10-13 March 10-13 April 7-10 May 12-15 June 9-12 Weekend Intensive Hours: Thursdays 5:30-8:30p Fridays 9a-5p Saturdays 9a-5p Sundays 9a-5:30p The teacher training ends in a seven-day intensive culminating in a three-day, two-night retreat at the North Cascades Institute , July 7 – 13, 2022. Once your Application has been approved you can Register and Pay for the monthly training HERE. Tuition Tuition is $3,500. Yoga Circle Studio Karen Guzak opened the studio in 2003 to provide a beautiful and welcoming place for the practice of yoga. In 2012, Elizabeth Gray joined the circle as a teacher. The studio features a cork floor and is fully equipped with blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps. As well as, a small kitchen, gift shop, and a lending library is available to enhance your yoga studies. Yoga practice in the AngelArmsWorks Studio. Training will take place in two locations: Primary in the studio at 707 Pine Avenue and, secondarily at Karen’s art studio called AngelArmsWorks as it’s in a renovated church located at 230 Avenue B, corner of Third and Avenue B — a 15 minute walk away, in the Historic District of Snohomish.
